Hotel Orkin is the Faroese Seaman’s Home in Reykjavik. It therefore tries to employ Faroese people on its staff. And the managing director of the hotel is also Faroese. The Faroese people have a special relationship to the Seaman´s Home. Hotel Orkin is a modern hotel with a comfortable atmosphere, and with an emphasis on cleanliness. All members of the staff speake English.The manager of the hotel is Faroese and has worked at the hotel for one year. He and his staff will endeavour to make your stay at the Hotel Orkin as enjoyable as possible. The manager also is responsible for the Christian meetings held in the hotel during the winter as part of the Faroese Seaman´s Mission. Everyone is welcome to participate in theese meetings. The Faroese Seamans home, Hotel Orkin is a privatly owned establishment. The Board consists of Faroese people living in the Faroe Islands in addition to people who live in Reykjavik
