This area is the most distinguished of Buenos Aires. Recoleta was founded in the XVIII century when the Order of the Recoletos monks settled down on 1732 building the Pilar Church located 300 meters from the Hotel. Close to the Church we find the Recoleta Cemetery where the most historical of the Argentine Independence/ politics/ and traditional families have those pantheons.
