The 3-star Hotel National offers peaceful, bright en suite accommodation with all modern amenities, including wireless internet access. The National is still a favorite, though it no longer enjoys the renown it used to. Modernization has removed some of its quaint charm, and it lacks the style of the Romantik Hotel-Weinhaus Messerschmitt , but the price is right and the rooms are first-rate, each with a tidily kept bathroom, most often with a tub/shower combination. With its black mansard roof, iron balconies, baroque and classical detailing, and opulent public rooms, the hotel is attractive, if small. It has well-maintained and traditionally furnished rooms that tend to provide a comfortable stay.
