Steeped in tradition, Monte Rosa Hotel was the first hotel in the Matterhorn village. Opened in 1839 by the local doctor, it was at that time the only village inn and boasted three rooms. The hotel was taken over by the Seiler family in 1853. Over the years the hotel has been extended and refurbished on several occasions. This attractive building is painted white, with red shutters. The reception area is medium sized, there are several lounges so there is ample seating for guests.
