In the first phase, the hotel will be closing and renovating the entire West Tower, renovating all the rooms and suites. The West Tower renovation is expected to be completed by September 4, 2012. The gift shop will also be closed during this time. Renovation of the East Tower is estimated to begin at the end of 2012, completing the entire renovation of the UN Plaza by mid 2013.
